Mrs. Anna Rose Blaylock

When a true sweet mother leaves a home, that home is never the same, and so it will be in the passing of this sweet Christian mother, Mrs. Anna Rose Blaylock, Friday morning at 7:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Taylor, here in Duck Hill. She was 78 years of age and these years were spent in a useful life of service to loved ones and friends and in helping her husband, Will Blaylock, rear a splendid family. A good mother, a loyal friend and a devoted Christian, having been a member of the Baptist Church since early girlhood. So many beautiful things could be said about her, for her life and her love for all she knew was pure and free from guile, and pure as bright aurora's ray.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. D. A. Harris, pastor of the Duck Hill Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. W. M. Hull, pastor of the Eskridge Baptist Church. A very large crowd of friends and loved ones were present. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Winona

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Herman Taylor, where she made her home, and her husband, Mr. Blaylock, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. L. P. Caddess of Winona and Mrs. Arthur Taylor, also of Winona; five sons, Dewitt Blaylock, New Orleans; Lamar Blaylock, Duck Hill; Eugene Blaylock, Holcomb; Leon Blaylock, Winona; J. T. Blaylock, Duck Hill, and the grandson, whom she reared and called her son, and loved as her own, Marion Blaylock of Greenville; and 21 other grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. K. N. Osborn, Jerome, Idaho; Mrs. Mettle Gilespie, Cockrum; Mrs. W. G. Bennett, Clarksdale; Mrs. E. B. Wray, Duck Hill.

So many beautiful flowers covered her resting place.
