Obituary
Mrs. Tom Charles
Mrs. Tom Charles died at Alamogordo, New Mexico, Monday, August 10, 1908. She was the youngest daughter of Capt. Dancy of Republic, was married to Tom Charles about 10 years ago. To this union for children were born, Perl, Lucille, Ralph and Louise, all living to mourn her loss.
The deceased has been in poor health for about two years. She received every care that it was possible for love to suggest or labor to bestow; last summer her doctor advised a change of climate, her husband at once made arrangements to take the family to New Mexico. For a time she seemed to improve and we hoped that she would master that dreaded disease, consumption, and return to us in full health but faith had not decreed that it be so. So closed the earthly career of one of the loveliest lives that ever grace the earth with its joy, beauty and sweetness. Her acquaintances will remember her for her kind, amiable disposition; to her relatives, especially her husband and children, her memory will be a sacred shrine within their hearts and they can truthfully say she left but to bless them. The cruelty of death would be unbearable without the help of a lovelier happier life beyond.
