Emil Anthony Brown,60, of Sumac Ave. died yesterday morning at Waynesboro Community Hospital.

He was born Aug.29,1922,in Augusta County, a son of Mrs. Frances Hajeck Brown and the late Lonzey Brown.He was a member of John's Catholic Church.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife,Mrs.Hazel Craft Brown,three sons; Anthony L.Brown and Timothy W.Brown,both of Verona and Emil E.Brown of Waynesboro; three daughters,Mrs.Walter (Gloria) Ashby,Mrs.Lewis (Teresa) Hudson, and Mrs.George (Paula) Lowery,all of Waynesboro;a brother,Charles P.Brown of Pascagoula,Miss;three sisters; Mrs.Hugh (Nettie) Sutton,Mrs.William (Mary) Frye and Mrs.Barbara Wright, all of Waynesboro, all of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother,Joseph E.Brown Sr.

A mass of resurection will be held at St.John's Catholic Church at 3 p.m. Wednesday,conducted by the Rev.James Kauffmann.Interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Joseph Campbell,Cecil Lucas Jr.,Kenneth Brown,Ronald Brown,Christopher Brown and Joseph Brown Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Phillips,J.D.Floyd Jr.,Charles Brown,Hugh Sutton Jr.,Arthur Hutchinson Jr.Harry Strickler,R.C.McVey and Kenneth Brown Jr.

The family will receieve friends from 7 until 8 p.m. today at McDow Funeral Home.

A christian wake service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew.
