Russell Raymond Fincham was born March 12, 1903, in Blue Rapids, Marshall County, Kansas, the son of James and Jessie Eva (Smith) Fincham. Both of his parents had been previously married and widowed and had children from their previous marriages.

Russell first married Grace Katherine Pollock on August 30, 1925, in Marshall County, Kansas. Grace was born March 19, 1908, in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska, the daughter of Robert Cleveland and Grace Alta (Roseberry) Pollock. They had the following known children:

1. Marjorie Faye (Fincham) Reed (1925-2015)
2. Mary Katherine (Fincham) Johnson (1927-2017)
3. Raymond Galvin Fincham (1929-2010)
4. Son Fincham (died in infancy)
5. Russell Raymond Fincham (died in infancy)
6. James Robert Fincham (1933-2007)

Grace died July 11, 1934, in Frankfort, Marshall County, Kansas from complications of diabetes.

Russell then married Bonita Wilkinson in November 1936 in Marshall County, Kansas. Bonita was born June 25, 1913, in Washington, Washington County, Kansas, the daughter of Melford C. and Minnie E. (Murch) Wilkinson. Russell and Bonita had the following known children:

7. Sondra Ilene "Sandy" (Fincham) Cook-Mills (1938-2002).

Russell and Bonita divorced and she then married John H. Witt. Bonita died May 2, 1975, in Marysville, Marshall County, Kansas.

Russell then married Florence "Florene" (Landen) Outhet about 1945 in Kansas. Florene was born February 28, 1915, in Red Oak, Montgomery County, Iowa, the daughter of Barton and Rosee Belle (Zentz) Landen. She had been previously married to Fred James Outhet (1912-1986) by whome she had three daughters. Russell and Florene had the following known children:

Russell died July 23, 1950, in Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas. Florene died December 2, 1997, in Wamego, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Following is a transcription of his obituary from an uncited source.

Russell Raymond Fincham, son of James and Jessie Eva Smith Fincham, was born Mar. 12, 1903 east of Blue Rapids, KS and departed this life on July 23, 1950 at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, KS.

He was married to Miss Grace Pollock in 1925 and to this union they have 6 children namely Marjorie, Katherine, Raymond, James and two sons who died in infancy. Grace passed away on July 11, 1934. Mr. Fincham married in 1936 to Bonita Wilkerson & they had one daughter, Sondra. In 1945 he married Florence Landen Outhen & they had a daughter, Alyse.

Russell lived his entire life on the farm east of Blue Rapids, where he was born, until 1940 when the family moved to Missouri then returning to Kansas in 1942. He was affectionally called Bud. He was a quiet unassuming person.

Preceding him in death were his father in 1933 and his half-brother Arthur LeRoy Fincham in 1916. He was survived by his children, his mother, his half-brothers, Fred Fincham of Frankfort and Homer Foreman of Manhattan, KS; his brother Jack Eugene Fincham of Blue Rapids, KS and his sister, Mrs. Thelma Wempe of Sabetha, KS.

Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, rural Blue Rapids, KS.
