Mr. Alacqua was a member of the St. Anthony Beneficial Society, St. Bridget's Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, all of Glassboro. He was inducted into the Glassboro High School Hall of Fame in 1993 for his expertise in basketball and baseball in 1936-1938. He was a former member of the Gloucester County Y. M. C. A. Track and Field Team. He also served as a lineman for Glassboro High School Football for 30 yrs.
Surviving are his wife Estelle, his children, Philip Mastroeni and his wife Angela, and Mary Lu Williams and her husband Sandy, his brother, Vito, two sisters, Katherine and Millie Alacqua, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Alacqua was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph Alacqua, Lawrence Alacqua and Frances Ferro.
