Betty M. Wright, 63, of New Harmony, Ind., formerly of Omaha, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
She was born May 23, 1949, in Eldorado, the daughter of Raymond R. and Adeline (Duckworth) Thompson. She was a graduate of Ridgway High School with the class of 1966. Betty married Norbert Wright Aug. 10, 1973, in Norris City.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Norbert Wright of New Harmony, Ind.; one daughter, Christina and Jeremy McCarty of New Harmony, Ind.; one son, Kevin and Kimberly Wright of Evansville, Ind.; three sisters, Pauline and Carl Edwards of Vienna, Marie Shewmaker of Marion and Helen Rollman of Carmi; two brothers, Bernard and Audrey Thompson of Ladd and twin brother, Daniel Thompson of Leavenworth, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Betty is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral services are 1 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 with the Rev.
