Bernard D. Thompson, 82, of Ladd, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, in Heritage Manor of Walnut. Services will be held Saturday, December 10, in The Chapel of The Fiocchi Funeral Home, Cherry, with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the Ladd Cemetery.

Bernard was born on November 11, 1940, in Omaha, Illinois, to Raymond and Adeline (Duckworth) Thompson. He married Audrey Mack on May 4, 1963, in Indiana.

He was a member of the Ladd Moose Lodge and Local 17.

He is survived by his children, Jill (Steve) Beiler of Phoenix, Arizona, Julie Thompson of St. Germaine, France, and Mark Thompson of Chandler, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and siblings, Pauline (Carl) Edwards of Vienna, Illinois, Marie Schewmaker of Marion, Illinois, Helen Rollman of Vienna, Illinois, and Daniel Thompson of Levensworth, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey on April 19, 2022, and a sister Betty Wright.
