Virgie was born in Crockett, Texas, the daughter of Eurel H. Baker and Della Middleton Baker. Her father was the Sheriff of Crockett, Texas during her growing up years and she loved telling everyone she lived at the town jail. Actually they lived in the Sheriff's living quarters located upstairs above the jail.

She was a great wife to her husband, James Raburn, and a great mother to her twin boys, Raburn Harry and James Larry. Her greatest loves where her grandchildren who she always had time for and was always attending a baseball game or other sports they were all involved in.

She worked in banking for many years until retirement in 1985. Sadly she had a severe stroke in 1986 which left her completely paralyzed on her right side and without speech. She still knew all her family though and loved their visits to see her. Heart failure claimed her life in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, James Michael Sizemore, son of James Larry and Elizabeth Joy Duff Sizemore.

She is survived by son Raburn Harry Sizemore and wife, Patricia Simmons Sizemore of Baytown, Texas and son James Larry Sizemore and wife, Elizabeth Joy Duff Sizemore of Houston. She is survived by grandson Shane Sizemore of Baytown; granddaughters Kerri Sizemore Proctor of Livingston, Texas, Michelle Sizemore Moore of Baytown, Dawn Sizemore Earley of League City, Texas and Christy Sizemore of Houston.

Great-Grandchildren born after her death are Kaitlyn Sizemore, Zachary Earley, Cole Earley, Christopher Byrd, Emily Moore and twins Kiersten Elizabeth Wood and Ryan James Wood.

She was also survived by sister, Veda Johnson and husband Tommy Johnson of Lufkin, Texas, sister Doris Bertone and husband, Dominic Bertone of Caldwell, Texas and brother Eurel Baker and wife Dorothy Salmon Baker of Houston, Texas.
