MARSHALL - Services for Mrs. Marie Arens, 69, will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Marie Arens died suddenly at her Marshall home on Friday. Parish prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. today at the Rehkamp Funeral Home in Marshall.

Marie Verdeck was born in Victor, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Verdeck. The family later moved to the Marshall area. On Jan. 30, 1929 she was married to Clarence Arens and the couple farmed in the Marshall area until 1955, when they moved to Dawson.

Following Mr. Arens' death in 1972, Mrs. Arens moved to Marshall.

Survivors include children, Loyal of Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. John (Eleanor) Harrigan of Minneapolis, Alvin of Okemos, Mich., Mrs. Dale (Margaret) Boerner of Marshall; sisters, Mrs. Ray (Margaret) Marks, of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Walter (Grace) Jensen of Milroy; and six brothers, Edward, Leroy, Pete, Ralph, Frances and Jim Verdeck, all of Marshall.
