Curtis Blaine Tanner, a former long-time resident of Vero Beach, FL, died on June 17, 2004 in Meeker, OK, surrounded by his family. Known best as Blaine, he was loved by many.

Blaine was born to John D. and Olive D. Tanner in Nicholas County, West Virginia on March 16, 1914.

Blaine was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vero Beach, Florida for many years. He served the Lord in his church as member of the Menders, a group which assisted the elderly and others in need of home maintenance; he was an usher; and worked actively on many mission trips.

Before retirement in 1976 he worked for Piper Aircraft Corporation and the Bill Free Company in Ft. Pierce, FL. He was an honorary member of the Vero Beach Ambulance Service.

Blaine was a veteran of WW II serving his country in the United States Army.
