DUNSEITH — Valentine C., 75, rural Dunseith, died Wednesday. Funeral Monday 2:30, Peace Lutheran Church, Dunseith. Burial Rendahl Cemetery, rural Dunseith.

He was born March 31, 1903, at Donnybrook, and attended school at Hartland and Donnybrook. For three years he worked in Minnesota and South Dakota. He married Anna Redmann Oct. 1, 1938, at Aberdeen, S.D. They moved to a farm in the Turtle Mountains. For several years Mr. Bott had been treasurer of the Rendahl Church, and was also a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors: wife; daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Barbara) Knoepfle, Bottineau, and Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Maier, Linton; sons, Valentine, Williston, and Robert. Dunseith; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Clarence Moseng, Benedict, and Mrs. Bill Haidle, Fallon, Mont.; and brothers Rev. Ernest Bott Laurel, Mont,
Roy and Arthur, both of Donnybrook, and Abner, Pocatello, Idaho.

Friends may call until 9 tonight, from 1 until 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 9 am. until noon Monday, at the Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau.

Val and Ann Bott
Val C. and Ann Bott came to North Dakota from Minnesota in the fall of 1938, spending the first winter at Donnybrook before moving to the Hans Windom farm in Willow Lake township in 1939. They later moved to Sylvan Glen, thence to the Joe Richard farm near Rendahl Church in the spring of 1941. Their final move was to the Jack Hall’s place which they bought in 1947.
Their four children were Barbara, Val Jr., Mary and Bob.
Barbara married Clayton Knoepfle and lives in Bottineau. They have four children.
Val Jr. lives in Williston with his wife and two boys.
Mary is now Mrs. Ronald Maier. They have two sons and live in Linton, ND.
Bob, his wife and two children farm the home place. They have their home about a mile south of the Val Sr. residence where Anna still lives. Val Bott Sr. passed away in 1978.
