She married William George Hanleiter, son of William Duncan Hanleiter and his wife Delta Lee Gall. They were married on April 24, 1935 in Buckhannon, Upshur, WV by W. H. Barlow, a Baptist minister.
They had two daughters, Virginia Lee and Billie Jean.
