STANDISH - Herbert S. Hodsdon 95, of Varney Road ided Monday at Greenwood Nursing Home, Sanford. He was born in Yarmouth on June 13, 1894, a son of George and Blanch Hodsdon. He graduated form Yarmouth Academy, and worked for many years as an audiotr for Metropolitian Life. Hodsdon was a life member of several service organizations, the Casco Lodge, the Pleasant River Order of Eastern Star, the Sons of the American Revolution and teh Founders and Patriots. He is survived by his wife, Mollie; a daughter, Helena S. Bracken of Standish; a step-daughter, Barbara J. White of Hollis; two stepsons, Tom . Philbrick of Standish, and John K. Philbrick of Lakeside, Fl.; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, Portland. Memorial contributions may be made to The Shriners Hospital, 516 Center St. Springvale Ma, 01104.

STANDISH - Herbert S. Hodsdon, 95, of Varney Road died Monday at a Sanford nursing home. He was born in Yarmouth, a son of George and Blanche Hodsdon, and graduated from North Yarmouth Academy. Mr. Hodsdon worked many years as an auditor for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. He was a life member of Casco Lodhe of Masons, a life member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a life member of the Founders and Patriots. He is survived by his wife, Mollie Hodsdon; a daughter, Helena S. Bracken, both of Standish; a step-daughter, Barbara J. White of Hollis; two step-sons, Thomas L. Philbrick of Standish and John K. Philbrick of Lakeland, Fla.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, Portland. Arrangements are by the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale.
