Mr. Farver was born in North East, Pa., on Aug. 2, 1917, a son of the late Harley and Emma Parker Farver. He was a 1935 graduate of North East High School and attained his B.S. degree in agricultural education from Penn State University and his Masters degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He was a U.S. Air Corps veteran of World War II, completing 44 missions in the southwest Pacific as a B-24 Liberator Bomber pilot. Mr. Farver was superintendent of the Rouse Hospital of Warren County and taught vocational agriculture at Sugar Grove High School and at Corry Area High School for 26 years. He served on the boards of the agricultural committees and was on the board of directors of Freehold Mutual Insurance Co. He was involved in farming his entire life. Following his retirement in 1978, he was an antique furniture collector. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Farver; a brother, Harley Parker Farver; and by two sisters, Ruth Miller and Helen Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Shrone Farver, whom he married in Pampa, Texas, on Sept. 25, 1943; a son, Richard K. Farver, and his wife, Jean, Corry; two daughters, Mrs. John (Jane) Farver, New York City, N.Y., and Mrs. Donald (Mary Kay) Perry, Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
