Prominent Rush County
Farmer Dies at Home

Raymond E. Miller Prominent Rush county farmer, died at his home southeast of Homer at 5:15 p.m. Thursday. He had been in failing health for several months with a heart ailment but death was unexpected.

Born in Rush county on August 29, 1894, he was the son of William S. and Ina C. [Gardner] Miller. On October 18, 1916, he was united in marriage with Zula M. Kamper and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Paul S. of Manilla R.R.1 and Pfc. Max N. Miller of Fort Eustis, Va; two brothers and one sister, Omer A.
and Carie E. Miller and Mrs. Della M. Orme, all of Rush county; and two grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death. [Adam & Robert died in infancy.]

Mr. Miller had spent his entire life in Rush county and was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Homer Christian Church and served as an elder of the church and as a Sunday School teacher.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Carmony Funeral Home in Manilla and interment will be in East Hill cemetery in Rushville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
