Rites Held for Carie Miller
Services were held this afternoon at Moster and Sons Mortuary in Rushville for Carie E. Miller, 78, Walker Township Rush county, who died Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Rush Memorial Hospital, Rushville, following a two-week illness.
Burial was in East Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Donald Heller and Rev. Marion Ellis officiating.
Born in Walker Township on July 10, 1887, Mr. Miller was the son of William S. and Ina (Gardner) Miller. On Feb. 7, 1907, he married Lena Carr, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Ralph W. Miller, Rushville, and Mrs. Ruth Wagoner, of near Moscow, eight grandchildren, including Mrs. Chester Matney Jr. and Harold Miller of Shelbyville; and seven great-grandchildren.
