Funeral services for Jack Hagemann, 71, Mason in Luverne, were conducted Monday at Holm Funeral Home in Luverne. Burial was in St. Catherine's Cemetery.

The Rev. Thomas Ploof officiated. Richard DeSchepper, Ardean Walgrave, Clarence Gertz, and Harvey Hitch were pallbearers.

Holm Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jack Hagemann was born Dec. 24, 1907, on the family farm near Hardwick. He attended county schools and moved with his family to Luverne when he was 14. From 1920 to 1924 the family visited with relatives in Germany.

Jack Hagemann was a mason and worked for Stanton Hinckley, Marion Frakes and Cyril Dieterman. He served in the Army in Texas during World War II and was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by three sisters, Veronica (Mrs. Ike) Kern, Verdi, Monica (Mrs. Russell) Schaefer, Luverne, and Elizabeth (Mrs. Alex) Aanenson, Luverne; and three brothers, Ernest Hagemann Jr., Rapid City, SD, Andrew Hagemann, Luverne, and Leo Hagemann, Nemo, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Newlyweds Live In Austin, Texas

Sgt. Jack Hagemann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hagemann, Sr., of Luverne and Mrs. Marie Dryden, daughter of Mrs. Hattie Billingsley of Houston, Texas were married on June 23 at the base chapel, Austin, Texas, by Chaplain Harold E. Doty. The double ring ceremony was performed by Chaplain Doty.

Sgt. and Mrs. Hagemann are at home at 94½ Red River Street in Austin, Texas. Sgt. Hagemann is a refueling unit operator with Squadron D, at the army base.
