Lottie Mae Dyal Johnson, 79, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the Appling Healthcare System. Lottie Mae was born in Appling County to the late Albert Burton Dyal and Nina Gussie Gustava Carter Dyal October 11, 1931 and had resided here all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Eston Johnson.

Survivors include four daughters, Brenda (Eddie) Mobley of Baxley, Glenda (Mike) Smith of Brunswick, Linda Simmons Rogers of Baxley and Sandra Brauda of Baxley; two sons, Randall (Peggy) Hall of Baxley and Ricky (Barbara) Hall of Baxley; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 1 at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Marty Anderson, the Rev. Wayne Williamson and the Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Interment followed in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Ryan Davis, Travis Crosby, Alan Brock, Jason Kauger, Shaun White and Stacey Mobley.

Musical selections were rendered by Amy Stewart and Chad Hall.

Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
