Elmo Bennett, 77, of Brocton died Monday in the Paris Community Hospital. Funeral services were held in the Blume-Stewart-Carroll Funeral Home, Paris, on Wednesday with burial in the Fairfield Cemetery, Newman. Mr. Bennett was born in Edgar County, a son of Jacob C. and Bertha Sweigart Bennett. He married Doyne Dillman on March 18, 1945, in Redmon. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Shirley Ann, at home; three brothers, Boyd of Brocton, and Date and Hugh of Newman; and three sisters, Georgian Watson and Rose ann Van Dyke, both of Newman, and Delia Mae Wilson of Chrisman.
