Florence was born the 21st October 1908, the 2nd child and daughter of six children of William Paton PATTISON and Selina Marie Angelique MENARD. She grew up in the Springfield/Agawam/West Springfield area. She eloped and married George Forbes Fearn, son of Richard Campbell Fearn and Elizabeth Mearns Webster, on the 2nd September 1928 in Brattleboro, Vermont. She and her sister Frances "Frannie" Pattison married brothers Alexander Robertson Fearn (son of Richard Campbell Fearn & Isabella Young Robertson) and George Forbes Fearn (son of Richard Campbell Fearn & Elizabeth Mearns Webster). Florence and George raised their children, George Jr, Marilyn, Elizabeth "Betty", and James Fearn, along with Herbert Deming, in Agawam and West Springfield, Ma.
