Veronica Drozanowski Nastali was born on July 12, 1857 in Danzig, West Prussia. Her parents were Jacob and Marianna Drozanowski. (Veronica's birth date is what her brother Steve Druzan listed on her death certificate.)

In Danzig, she married Francis Nastali in 1874. They had eighteen known children. The following children were born in Germany:
Barbara Nastali (1875-1875),
Julianna Nastali-Beyer (1877-1956),
Mary Nastali-Rogowski (1880-1970,)
John Frank Nastali (1882-1957),
Bridget Nastali (1883-1929).
The following children were born after Francis and Veronica and their family came to America around 1883:
