Eureka --- Funeral service for Miletta "Millie" Mehlhaff, 70, of Eureka will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Eureka Reformed Church. The Rev. Herman Van Stedum will officiate.
Burial will be in the Eureka City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She died Dec. 28, 2007, at Avera McKennan Hospital at Sioux Falls.
Miletta Dockter, daughter of Emil and Alvina (Hochhalter) Dockter, was born June 7, 1937, on the family homestead northeast of Venturia, N.D. She attended country school and worked on the family farm.
She was united in marriage to Harvey Mehlhaff on Oct. 17, 1954, in Venturia Reformed Church at Venturia. They made their home on the Mehlhaff family homestead. After she raised her children, she worked at the Lyric Lanes in the early 1970s as a waitress and later at the Eureka Bakery. In the mid-1980s, she began working at the Eureka Health Care Center as an aide. She retired in 2002...
Survivors include her husband of Eureka; three sons...two daughters...one brother... one sister...five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
