Aberdeen --- Melvin B. Dockter, 69, of Aberdeen and formerly of the Ashley, N.D., area, died Friday, July 27, 2001, at his residence.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Reformed Church, Ninth Avenue Southeast and South Dakota Street. The Rev. Herman Van Stedum will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline; his children, Mark, Perham, Minn., Bruce, Wahpeton, Polly Wald, Bismarck, and Claude, Bismarck; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Olive Diede and Millie Mehlhaff; one brother, Larry; three stepchildren, Jolene Steiner, Watertown, S.D., Jeffrey Schlepp, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Joyce Vos, Sioux Falls, S.D. (Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, Aberdeen)
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Venturia First Reformed Church Cemetery in Venturia, N.D. Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
