Bernice A. Gilstrap

Bernice Albertson Gilstrap, 84, formerly of Old Cedar Rock Road, wife of the late Thomas Burns Gilstrap, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Henry Franklin and Nan Crowe Albertson. Mrs. Gilstrap was a homemaker and a member of Dacusville Church of God.
Surving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas R. and Reba Gilstrap of Dacusville, James H. and Martha Gilstrap of Easley, and Lamar and Catherine Gilstrap of Pickens; two sisters, Rosa Lee James and Ellie Clardy, both of Liberty; eight half brothers, Frank Albertson, Wylie Albertson, Dan Albertson, Harold Albertson, Truman Albertson, Jerry Albertson, Jimmy Albertson and Ozell Albertson, all of Easley; two half sisters, Sue A. Whitman of Greensboro, NC, and Della A. Thompson of Easley; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gilstrap was predeceased by a brother, Judge Albertson, a sister, Dolar Holder Bagwell; two half brothers, William Ray Albertson and Colonel Albertson; and her stepmother, Ruby Bishop Albertson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Roper, the Rev. Benny Barton, and the Rev. Donald Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jake Gilstrap, Tommy Gilstrap, Jon Gilstrap, Corey Gilstrap, Daryl Batts, Scott McAbee and Wayne O'Shields. Honorary escorts will be employees of Laurel Hill Nursing Home.
The family is at the home of a son, Thomas R. Gilstrap, 1126 Old Dacusville Highway, Easley.
