Second Street, died Friday, December 18, 1953 in De Paul Hospital
in Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the Toxey,
Berry and Lynch Funeral Home Sunday, December 20, 1953 at 3:00
pm. Burial will follow in the family cemetery in Camden County.
He was a native of Camden and the son of ISAAC BARNARD and ALICE
HAYMAN BARNARD and the husband of LILLIE CARTWRIGHT BARNARD. He
had been living in Elizabeth City for a number of years.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. ROYCE TARKINGTON of Norfolk and
Mrs. CLIFTON TRUEBLOOD of Elizabeth City, Route 4; 2 sons,
RAYMOND BARNARD of Elizabeth City and JOHN M. BARNARD of Sanford;
3 sisters, Mrs. MOLLIE CARTWRIGHT of Camden and Mrs. JACK JORDAN
and Mrs. JODIE BELL, both of Elizabeth City; 2 brothers, GRANDY
B. BARNARD of Shiloh and MACK BARNARD of Norfolk and 9
grandchildren.
