Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont ST. (Rt. 123) Brockton, Monday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Margaret's Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. James W. Duffy, 70, resident of Brockton

BROCKTON - James W. Duffy, 70, husband of the late Anne L. (Donovan) Duffy, died Thursday at Brockton Hospital after a sudden illness.
Mr. Duffy, a lifelong resident of Brockton, was the son of the late William and Rose (Benoit) Duffy. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1942 and enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served in the Pacific in World War II. In 1968, he retired from his position in the School Department as head custodian at the Hancock School. He was a member of the Over the Hill gang and the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and a former member of Ireland's Own. He was a communicant and active member of St. Margaret's Church.
Mr. Duffy is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jeffrey A. (Maureen A.) Abber of Malden; and Louise A. of Brockton; one son, James J. of Waltham; one sister, Rosemary Jaroma of Johnston, R.I.; one brother, William Duffy of South Easton; three triplet grandchildren, Anne, Zachary, and Caitlin Abber, all of Malden.
Funeral will be from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rt. 123) Brockton, Monday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass will be in St. Margaret's Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
