Louise "Lou" Elizabeth Ziegler Schuler Meiners was born January 23, 1907 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky to Fred Emil Ziegler and Louise Roemele Ziegler. Her first husband was Harry James Schuler, and they had three daughters, Phyllis Schuler Heizer, Carolyn Schuler Merchant, and an infant girl. After her first husband's death, Lou married widower Herman "Herm" George Meiners on February 28, 1953 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. She had one stepdaughter.
Lou passed away in December 1994 and is buried in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Hamilton County near her second husband Herm.
