Florence was a nurse and went to work in Wyoming at a hospital. She took care of a contagious patient. He lived and she died. Her mother, Jessie (Lowe) Svoboda, drove with family to Wyoming to bring Florence's body back to Illinois. While on the trip to Wyoming, they had a car accident. It was said that Jessie was never quite the same after the accident.
