He was born Tuesday, May 20, 1919 to Mr. George P. Pell & Mrs. Dora (Rhymes) Pell in Hazelhurst, Miss. and had been a resident of Jackson County for 44 years. Mr. Pell was a retired maintenance supervisor with Mississippi Chemical and was a member of Jackson Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Anna Mae Pell of Pascagoula, his son; Robert (Donna Ann) Pell of Pascagoula, daughter; Bettye Ann (James M.) Ory of Pascagoula, seven granddaughters; Melissa, Michelle, Bettye, Donna, Payton all of Pascagoula, Melinda, of Hattiesburg, Eryn, of Mobile, Al., one great-grandson; Justin of Pascagoula, one sister; Eva Mae (Pell) Harrison of Imperial, Mo., three brothers; James A. Pell of California, Theodore Pell of Georgetown, Miss. and Richard Pell of Pascagoula.
Visitation will be February 21, from 6 - 9 p.m. at Holder - Wells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 22, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. C. I. Miller officiating. Internment will be in Jackson County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
