Mrs. Abel Alire died Monday morning after a short illness from pneumonia and a weakened heart condition. She had been in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Alire was a daughter of Sortines [Sostenes] and Adelaida Medina. She leaves four children, Joe, a grown son; another young son and two daughters at home, and other relatives.
Services were held Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church with Rev. Martinez in charge. Burial was in the Del Norte cemetery.
