The San Juan Prospector, dated June 17, 1927
Sostenoz Alire passed away at his home here Sunday morning, June 12. He was born at Pataco, New Mexico on August 14, 1896, and came to Del Norte in 1911. He attended school here until he was in the eighth grade when failing health caused him to quit. Sostenoz has made many friends in Del Norte and was well like by everyone.
He had been in failing health for several years but has always been patient in his sufferings. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and services were held at that church Wednesday morning at ten thirty. Interment was made in the Del Norte cemetery. He leaves behind a host of friends to mourn his passing, his father and mother, three brothers and two sisters.
