MILTON WHITFIELD ADAIR Age about 88 years, a native of White Township, this County, died 9 August at the Soldiers Home in Leavenworth, KS Mr. Adair was the twin brother of Calvin Spurgeon Adair and was born in this county December 20, 1840. They both enlisted at this place for service in the Civil War Co K 105th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. Calvin was killed at the battle of Fair Oaks, VA May, 31, 1862. Milton service throughout the conflict with the Army of the Potomac in Virginia and was present when Gen. Lee surrendered at Appomattox in the Spring of 1865.

Husband of Mary Montgomery Bell. Father of Lena, Nettie, Belle, Lizzie and Clyde.
