Rev. John M. Adair, aged 81 years, died at his home, on west Oak street, on Wednesday morning of last week, at 8 o'clock. Rev. Adair was born and raised at Reed station and was the son of John and Maria McCleary Adair. He was a United Presbyterian minister and was well known in this section. He leaves his third wife, Mrs. Susan Campbell Adair, and two sons by a former marriage with Miss Sarah Cummins - Prof J.C. Of Nampa, Idaho, and Rev. W.C. of Dristol Col. Funeral services were held at the Adair home Thursday evening, at 7 o'clock by Rev. D.E. Magill, pastor of the United Presbyterian church in Homer City, assisted by several other ministers. The remains were taken Friday to McAlvey's Fort, Huntingdon County, where interment was made Saturday. Rev. Adair having been pastor in that vicinity for over 30 years.
