ST. GEORGE, UT--Wendy Rae Mickel, 45, died December 26, 1998 at her home in St. George. She was born July 20, 1953 in Roosevelt, UT to Bennie and Evelyn Ashton Schmiett. She married John Edward Mickel November 1, 1974 in Salt Lake City. Wendy graduated from Skyline High School. She received a certificate from Bryman Institute as a Lab Assistant. She attended the University of Utah. She was most recently employed with Saturn of St. George.



Wendy is survived by her husband, John; children Mathew Mickel and Melissa Mickel, both of St. George; father: Bennie Schmiett of St. George; sisters: Leslie Smith and Linda Allen; and brother: Jim Schmiett. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn.



In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Division, in Wendy's Name.



Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 30, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 300 W. St. George Blvd. Arrangements are under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, Cremation.
