Avelino Ávalos was the son of the late Petra Varela y Calles and Juan II 'John' Abalos is noted on ancestry-search as "JUAN ABALOS" DOB 1899 born in Mesilla, Dona Ana, New Mexico. Died August 8, 1961, in Los Angeles California. Avelino was a well-known Hispanic Guitarist who excelled in playing the guitar, he spoke about learning how to play the guitar with his step-dad Santiago Garcia when he was just a mere boy. He played his guitar throughout the South Eastern Arizona area. He was in various bands over the span of 40 decades. He was a member of the following bands; The Mixers, The Lucky Four, The Three Cups, The Tequila Sunrise, The Rhythm Rockers, Los Madrigles de San José. He toured to Buffalo, New York with a group The Mixers selected to attend out of ten bands that were organized by the Chamber of Commerce in Safford, Arizona. In this tour the band had been chosen to audition at The Johnny Carson Show. The bands toured from Arizona to Buffalo New York playing in various locations. The band had the opportunity to spend sometime at the Shelton's Ravina Bar & Grill in Chicago, Illinoise located in Highland Park. During his musical career he was spotlight to the hometown KATO Radio numerous times including the Eastern Arizona Courier. He was married to Mauricia Subía Ávalos until he died. The couple had twelve children six boys in birth order: However, Avelino had a son in another relationship prior to his marriage to Mauricia the child was a son his name was Ralph 'Avelino' Ávalos y Mendoza. The Ávalos familia made their permanent home in the Graham County area of Arizona.
MY PARENTS MOVED TO HANFORD, CALIFORNIA AND THEY HAD 5 CHILDREN IN KINGS COUNTY AND BIRTH RECORDS TO MY OLDEST SIBLINGS STATE LEMOORE HOSPITAL. IN KINGS COUNTY. THE FIRST INFANT DIED AFTER 2-3 DAYS AND IS BURIED IN LEMOORE CALIFORNIA.
