Survivors: widow, Mrs. Verna Kelly Newcomb, Dilley, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Mildred Eloise Matthews of Higley, Ariz., Mrs. Verna Wells, Uvalde, Texas; son, H.D. Newcomb Jr. of Dilley; four brothers, two sisters and one grandchild. Funeral services, Friday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Alamo Funeral home. Interment in National cemetery with full military honors. He was a member of La Societe Des 40 Hommes ET 8 (The Society of 40 horses and Eight men) Chevaux Voiture Local No. 1009 Post 444, also, Villard Post No. 367, Asherton, Texas, American Legion.
