Harlan County Journal; Alma, Harlan County, NE May 16, 1935
Annie Elizabeth Lowry was born in Phillips County, Kansas on November 19, 1880, and departed this life at her home in Alma Nebraska on May 5, 1935, having reached the age of 54 years, six months and fourteen days.
On July 24, 1899, she was united in marriage to George Andres. To this union were born nine children, three of which preceded her in death as have also her parents, one brother and one sister.
In the year 1926 she was converted and united with the Evangelical church at Alma, to which she remained faithful until the end..........
She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband, George Andres; four sons and two daughters: Mrs. Goldie Brandon of Republican City, NE; Everett Andres of Jerome, Idaho; Ross Andres of Alma, NE; Mrs. Freda Baker of Hendley, NE; Melvin and Donald both of Alma. Everett could not be present at the funeral, and Melvin was also unable to be present on account of illness. Besides the immediate family, she leaves ten grand children, a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon from the home and the Evangelical church with Rev. F.C. Ebinger, officiating. Burial being made at Republican City.
