Former Boone resident, died May 18, 1977, in the Mercy Hospital in Chicago. She was born May 30, 1942, in Boone the daughter of Leonard Bennett and Delia Case.
Karen was a 1960 graduate of Boone High School, Boone Junior college in 1962, and UNI in 1964. She was a school teacher in Clinton and Waterloo. She graduated from University of Chicago and was employed as a financial analyst for Duff and Phelps Inc. of Chicago.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bennett of Boone; two brothers Michael and Kevin, a sister-in-law, Kay and several aunts and uncles.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Goins officiating.
Burial will be in Linwood Park Cemetery.
