PIONEER DAYTON RESIDENT DIES
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Macy and Sons chapel, McMinnville, for Geneva Alderman, 72, pioneer Dayton resident, who died early Sunday morning at Alderman Farms of a heart attack.
Mrs. Alderman came to Oregon when she was three, and has lived in Dayton for 54 years. She was born in Michigan, June 14, 1874 and became the wife of Ennis M. Alderman April 30, 1896. Mr. Alderman preceded her in death February 27, 1939.
Surviving are a son, Urie S. Alderman, Dayton; a daughter, Margaret Shelburne, Dayton; and four sisters, Mrs. Mignon Daniels, Portland; Mrs. Phoebe Bates, Portland; Mrs. Rosalie Andrus, Monmouth; and Mrs. Viola Coburn, Dayton.
Rev. S. James Osborne officiated at the service and interment was at Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.
