William D. Bircher,age 81, resident of Nelsonville for 55 years, died last evening at the home of his daughter Mrs. Harry Westfall of West Franklin Street. His wife Arnetta Bircher died several years ago.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Westfall, Mrs. Ethel Boling, Lancester Ohio, Mrs. Amy Lyons of New Comerstown Ohio and Mrs. Gene Balogh of Bedford, Ohio and four sons William of Ethel WV, Clarence of Nelsonville, Roy of New Comerstown Ohio and Carl in the US Navy somewhere in the sea.
The body was taken to the Stout Funeral Home where friends may call at any time. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Stout Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenlawn.
William is the son of William Bircher Sr. and Mariah Stephenson he is the husband of Arnetta Bircher
