Betty June Dilley Brammer, age 87, of Beaver, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born at Glen Morgan, W.Va., on May 10, 1926, where she was also raised, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Brown Dilley and Goldie Mae Bachus Dilley.

Mrs. Brammer retired in 1988, after 24 years of service in the WV State Tax Department, as an accounting auditor.

She had made her home in Beaver since 1985, and was a member of the Perry Memorial United Methodist Church at Shady Spring. Mrs. Brammer was very active in the United Methodist Women, and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many arts and crafts. She also was a 1944 of graduate of Shady Spring High School, where she was the head cheerleader.

Mrs. Brammer was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Edsel Martin Brammer, who died in 1981.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Randall Martin Brammer of Philadelphia, Pa. and Pamela Sue Brammer Ford and her husband, Larry of Shady Spring; three sisters, Jean Ann Dilley Warden and her husband, David of Palm Harbor, Fla., Patricia Sue Dilley of Glen Morgan and Dr. Boots Dilley of Huntington.

Funeral service will be conducted to celebrate the life of Betty June Brammer at noon, Monday, June 10, at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Rev. Scott Mayberry officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, W.Va.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Carl Argabrite, John Batchelor, Jerry Carter, Don Crook, Garland Plumley and Pete Torrico.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perry Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1264 Shady Spring, WV., 25918 in memory of Mrs. Brammer.
