Theodore E. Salestrom was born in Sweden on June 26, 1878, and departed this life April 26, 1956, at the age of 77 years, ten months. As a small child he came to America with his parents. They settled on a farm near St. Edward, Nebraska.
On October 25, 1899, he was united in marriage to Alvida C. Nelson and made their home on the same farm, where he grew up. Four children were born to this union.
In 1926, the family moved to Oakland, Nebr. Mrs. Salestrom died January 29, 1948. For the past five years, Mr. Salestrom has made his home with his son, Ted, and family at Tekamah.
Survivors include his four children, Mrs. Marie Billstone of Denver, Colo., Rudolph of Palmdale, Calif., Ted of Tekamah and Mrs. Arlene Blair of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Alma Nelson of Columbus, Nebr. These relatives, with the exception of his son, Rudolph, were
in attendance at his funeral.
