Martha was born in Arvika Sweden to Axel and Anna Anderson. Her family settled in St. Maries, Idaho in 1912 and operated Anderson dairy there for many years. She married Cecil George in 1930. They raised two children, Dolores and Marvin, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.
