Joan Parker Glover age 62 of Beckley passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Raleigh General Hospital after a long illness.Born August 30, 1945 in Landville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Parker and Fairy Fields Parker.Joan worked as an RN for over twenty-five years before retiring in 1998.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Frank and Louis Parker; and four sisters, Jean, Pauline, Phyllis, and Myrtle.Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of forty-two years, Paul David Glover, Sr.; two daughters, Marlina Helen Glover and Kristina Ellen Glover both of Beckley; one son Paul David Glover, II of Beckley; one brother William "Bill" Parker and wife Ann of Beckley; two sisters in Christ, Peggy Phillips and Kay Brown; and her brother in Christ, Roman Brown. She is also survived by several cousins, nephews, nieces, and other family members.A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Tolliver and Pastor Roman Brown officiating
