Anthony Rickert died at his home at Indian Orchard (Little House) Tues. Jan. 20, 1931, age 73 years, four mo. and 20 days. He was born at Smith Hill Sept 1, 1857. In 1882, Oct. 17, he married Mary Smith (Schmidt) of Indian Orchard and resided there since his occupation being that of a farmer. During his life, Mr. Rickert was road supervisor for 12 years of Texas township, and a school director for three years, for the same Township. He was the Father of 11 children, 6 of whom survive with his wife Mary. They are Rose, wife of Joseph Herzog of Honesdale, Elizabeth, wife of William Wulff. Louis on the old Homestead, Julius, Port Jervis N.Y. Eugenia, wife of Charles LaTournous, Indian Orchard. Eleanor, wife of Tracy Bishop Honesdale Pa. Also one brother, George Rickert of Honesdale, Two sisters: Kate, wife of George Gendlinger, and Mrs. Mary Baker, Indian Orchard. There are also 21 Grandchildren, The funeral will be held at 10 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church Honesdale. (Funeral by Hessling)
