Mr. Bennett was born February 3, 1947 in Burlington, Iowa to Glen and Hannah (Pell) Bennett. He departed this life on February 19, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 64 years and 16 days.

Red had lived in Chouteau for about the last 25 years, he moved there from Burlington, Iowa. He was a self-employed truck driver and leased his trucks to Fikes Trucking; Red retired in 2009. He was married to Kathy Wassom on October 10, 1985 in Chouteau. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the United States Army. Red was of the Catholic faith and attended Faith Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and making walking canes. Spending time playing with his grandchildren and watching his grandson play baseball and football meant everything to Red.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
