Johanna Almira Bennett, 80, of Burlington died at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2006, at Great River Medical Center's Klein Center in Burlington, Iowa.

Born December 6, 1925, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Frank and Johanna Gaggley Pell. On September 17, 1944, she married Glenn Edward Bennett in Chicago.

She was a member of SS John and Paul Catholic Church and the Womens International Bowling Congress. She enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble, crocheting, quilting, making ceramics and cooking.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kathleen Theophile of Burlington and Marguerite Bennett of Tulsa, Oklahoms; three sons, Edward Bennett and James Bennett, both of Burlington, and Daniel Bennett ot Chouteau, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marguerite Sullivan of Chicago and Mable Pell of Orlando; nieces and nephews.

Rev. Fr. William Wiegand will officiate, with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
