She married ALFORD BALL OCTOBER 23, 1910 in ANSON,TEXAS.

They had eight children, PAULINE, SAMUEL CAIN , MARY LOU,

JAMES LEWIS, THOMAS GORDON, CHARLES OTHELL, JOHN ALFORD,

and JANIE MAE BALL.

ANSON (RNS)-Ida Ball, 82, of Anson died at 9 p.m. Friday at Anson Leisure Lodge. Services will be in Anson Church of Christ, Dale King will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence Funeral Home. Born Ida Melvina Gentry on Sept. 2,1893, in Fannin County,
she moved with her parents to Jones County in 1899, settling north of Anson. The family later moved to the Truby community, where she married Alfred Ball Oct. 23, 1910. The couple moved to Anson in 1923. Mr. Ball died April 14,1969. She was a member of Anson Church of Christ. Survivors include four sons, Capt. James L. of Oxen Hill, Md, Thomas G. of Riverside, Calif, John of Riviera and Charles 0. of Lockney; two daughters, Mrs. Reese Barone of Dallas and Mrs. Sam
McLaren of Anson; a brother, Jasper Gentry of Anson; 18 grandchildren and 11 greats.
