Arnold Appleby of Liberty died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was 61

Born on March 19, 1948 in Casey County, he was a son of the late Chester and Lois Glover Appleby.

He was an employee of Pliant Corporation and a member of Pine Grove Church.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Maddox Appleby of Liberty; a son, James (and Maelynn) Appleby of Liberty; two step-daughters, Kellie McAninch of Liberty and Brenda (and Joey) Wethington of Liberty; three grandchildren, Crystal Dooley, Mackenzie Luttrell and Dalton Summers; three brothers, Henry and Allen Appleby, both of Campbellsville, and Franklin Appleby of Columbia; four sisters, Anna Pearl Appleby, Emma Jean Wheeler and Phyllis Ritchey, all of Campbellsville and Wanda Wilson of Liberty.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Appleby.

Funeral services were June 7 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Bro. Jeff Edwards.Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul Coffman, Jerry Stephens, Bruce Edwards, Tommy Maddox, Adam Hicks and Mitchell Buck.

Honorary pallbearers were Allen Maddox, Mike Maddox, Danny Buck and George Alford Buck.
