The Middle Tennessee Times 4/10/2005:

Funeral services were held for Jim Adams, 53, on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville. Brother Ronald Whited and Brother Tim Ferguson officiated, with interment in the Bonham Cemetery. He died on Friday, March 25, 2005 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
A resident of the Johnson's Chapel Community in Sparta, Mr. Adams was retired from Smithville Save-A-Lot and was affiliated with the Allen's Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Barbara McKowan Adams; and by a brother, Tom Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Adams of Sparta; two daughters and a son-in-law, Becky and Bart Taylor of Carthage and Allison Adams of LaVergne; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Mike Hargrove and Patti and Ronnie Claiborne, all of Murfreesboro and Amy and David Ward of Washington; and by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Michael Maynard, Keith Lawwell, Mac Judkins, Brad Williams, Mark, Jim and Blake Cantrell, Kenny Sayles and Gary Young.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
